A New Christmas Book: The Midnight Postman

We recently received an email from an author who has published a children’s Christmas book: The Midnight Postman.

The author, M. Klayer, writes:

“I thought LASO members, and the newcomers your club helps into the hobby, might like to hear about a new Christmas book for their children and grandchildren. The author, M. Klayer, writes:

I’ve written a Christmas mystery for children aged 9 to 12 in which stamps and postmarks are the clues. The Midnight Postman is set in the Central Post Office of Strasbourg, France, in December 1958: eleven thousand letters to Santa are about to be pulped, yet every night someone answers them. The 48 exhibits of the case (envelopes, cancellations, a train timetable) are reproduced in the book, and one of its 12 puzzles turns on the old ‘language of stamps’.”

You can find the book listed on Amazon at this URL: https://www.amazon.com/s?k=The+Midnight+postman&crid=3S4BGG90QMDQ9&sprefix=the+midnight+postma%2Caps%2C296&ref=nb_sb_noss_1
