APS Election Results

APS Board of Directors Ten of the eleven APS Board seats were up for election in 2025. There was significant turnover in Board members for the 2025 election, with several current Board members opting to leave or facing term limits. APS Board members are elected to a three-year term, beginning in August 2025. 

Mark Banchik was elected President for his first term. Banchik currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of Vice Presidents. He was most recently elected back to the APS Board in 2022. 

The slate of Greg Galletti, Dwayne Littauer, and Ron Klimley has been elected as the Board of Vice Presidents. Galetti, appointed to the BVP in 2023 by APS President Cheryl Ganz, has been elected to his first full term. 

Ed Kroft will join the Board in his first term as Secretary of the APS Board. He replaces Dr. Peter P. McCann, who is departing the Board due to term limits. 

Larry Haber will join the Board as APS Treasurer. Haber, who has been a member of the APS Finance Committee since 2022, is also currently the President of the Collectors Club in New York. The four candidates elected as Directors-at-Large are 

Steve McGill, who was appointed to the APS Board in 2023 and has now been elected to his first full term. 

Michael Cortese, first elected in 2022, will serve his second term as a Director. 

Bruce Wasserman and David Klauber, both elected to the APS Board for the first time, will join them. 

APS President Cheryl Ganz will serve as APS Past President, replacing Bob Zeigler, who took the position in 2023 after stepping down as APS President. The Past President is the only non-elected APS Board of Directors position. 

APRL Board of Trustees In 2025, two Trustees were elected by the APS membership-at-large, one member was elected to represent the Founders/Patron/Vooys Fellows, and one will be appointed by the APS President. The incoming Trustees will serve a six-year term beginning in August 2025. 

Jean Wang was elected to a full term on the APRL Board of Trustees. Wang joined the APRL Board in 2023, replacing Greg Galletti, who joined the APS Board. 

Matthew Healey was elected to the APRL Board of Trustees, replacing outgoing APRL President Melanie Rogers. Rogers was elected to the Board in 2019 and served a full six-year term. 

Michael Bloom was elected as the Founders, Patrons, Vooys Fellow representative to the Board. He replaces outgoing Vice President Tom Bieniosek, who completed his six-year term that began in 2019. Bloom served as a Director-at-Large on the APS Board from 2016 to 2022. Start of the Term and

Organizational Meetings Newly elected APS and APRL Board members will take the oath of office following the annual membership meeting on Saturday, August 16, 2025, during the Great American Stamp Show in Schaumburg, Illinois. The APS and APRL Boards will hold an organizational meeting on Saturday, August 16, 2022, at noon Central. Election ResultsA total of 2,982 votes were cast; 2,362 electronic and 620 paper.
